He was born in Sombor in 1974.
He was a Serbian painter and professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Arts in Belgrade.
He studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade from 1969 to 1974 in the class of prof. Stojan Ćelić.
He received his master’s degree with the same professor in 1977, and in 1978 he was selected as an assistant for painting and drawing objects.
At that university he passed all university titles and in 1995 he became a full professor.
As a scholar of the British Council he stayed in London from 1980 to 1981, where he completed post-graduate studies in painting and graphics at the St. Martin’s School of Art.
As visiting guest he lectured at State University of New York in Olbani (USA, 1989) and at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh (United Kingdom) in 1992.
He was the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts from 1987 to 1992, Vice-rector of the University of Arts in Belgrade from 1997 to 2000, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade since 2010.
Exhibits since 1972.
He has organized 35 solo exhibitions in the country and abroad and participated in more than 300 group exhibitions in the country and abroad.
From 1975 he was a member, and from 1987 to 1992 he was president of the Association of Fine Artists of Serbia.
He was the editor of the visual program ‘Art TV’ – the channel of culture, Belgrade, from 1992 to 1993
He died in 2011 in Belgrade.
